Amnesty International Philadelphia Area Meeting
Please join us for the Amnesty International Philadelphia Area Meeting! This event is open to Amnesty International members and supporters, as well as anyone who would like to learn more about Amnesty’s human rights work.
Saturday, March 20, 2010, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Philadelphia Ethical Society, second floor

We’re working on an exciting array of topics and guest speakers:
- Panel discussion on immigration detention
- Choice of workshops such as an Introduction to Amnesty International and information on AI’s Special Focus Cases
- Death penalty information session, featuring an exonerated former death row prisoner
- Meet members of different AI groups and plan joint action
- Light breakfast and lunch provided
This event is free and open to the public. However, we strongly encourage you to register beforehand. Registration will help make sure that we have enough supplies and refreshments for everyone.

- The Ethical Society building is on the southwest side of Rittenhouse Square, near its south intersection with 19th Street.
- By car
- The Philadelphia Parking Authority has several Parking Garages near the Ethical Society.
- By transit
- The Ethical Society is a 10-15 minute walk from Suburban Station.
- You can use Google Transit to find the best transit route for you.
